Hello from Alabama and what I ate.

Hey all.  This morning I hopped in the car to travel to Alabama because it’s Mercedes-Benz Marathon Weekend in Birmingham.  I love this city!  It has a special place in my heart. It’s really cold here though. It’s a big change from home.

The day didn’t start off too well because I left at 4:00 am but I was up half the night because my stomach was bothering me.


I couldn’t eat that much so breakfast was oatmeal and Quest Protein chips.  I received a box of these protein chips and Willie really loves them.  I was really excited to try them but I will admit I was a little disappointed. Tasted a little like cardboard to me. I expected them to taste more like Pop Chips but I was wrong. I’ll have another bag another time, but right now the verdict isn’t looking too great.


I’m traveling with my mom and she’s not as health saavy as I am so we stopped at Applebee’s.  My plan was to not eat anything and just eat something else later.  But I didn’t want to waste much more time so I ate off of The Pub Diet menu. All the items are 600 calories or below.  That’s great, but I’m not just a person who just watches calories, my macros are important to me.  Some of the fat content in this stuff was way too high for me to handle and I already knew I was taking a sodium hit.  I ordered the one thing I felt comfortable eating:  pepper-crusted sirloin with whole grains.  This was a very small portion of food, which is how they control that calorie count.  This meal was 350 calories, 9 grams of fat, 2.5 grams saturated fat and I was OK with that.  It was good, but small.  I ordered a side salad to bulk it up a bit.  It was good, but I don’t frequent Applebee’s that often so I can’t say I would go there again.


I’m really excited to be here this weekend. I’m so excited I’m going to give away one of my favorite products TOMORROW! Check back tomorrow to find out what great product I’m going to give away. It will be great for people who workout! I want to tell you right now, but now isn’t that time.


Now I’m sitting my hotel room trying to stay warm and watching Shark Tank. I love that show.
