Lesson of the week: negativity breeds negativity

The week is almost over and I can’t wait for it to end. It’s been a hard week or a couple of hard weeks have really hit me hard. A lot things haven’t gone right, but I’ve been good at focusing on the good things.

It's a new day so try something new today! This morning I upped my weights! #fitchallenge #fitfluential #motivationmonday

This week, I’ve been trying to step my game up. I upped my weights in Group in Power on Monday morning. I’m trying to stay focused on moving forward and not looking back.

And then some pretty negative things happened Monday during the day. I thought all types of negative things. I thought about things that had nothing to do with what was actually going on in my life. See one negative thing caused me to think about some other negative things that may not really be there.

The best thing I did today is run! #fitfluential #fitness

The best thing I did on Monday was go for a run to clear my head. And that’s really when I started to think about negativity breeding negativity.

It’s easy to get stuck in that place. It’s easy to have it take over all aspects of your life. Just because one thing is wrong, doesn’t mean that everything is wrong. Break through the cycle and focus on fixing the problem and not creating more problems. That’s really what negativity breeding negativity is about; creating more problems you don’t really need to deal with.

Didn't feel like working out today but I did. My present was a photobomb by @mariahwalkerr. #fitfluential #fitfam #ffcheckin

On a lighter note, I tried to get up to work out this morning. I tried 2 times. The second time I even got and put my gym clothes on, but I ended up going back to sleep. I guess it wasn’t meant to be. I pushed my workout to this afternoon and I really didn’t want to work out but I did. I did a hip and core workout and ran 4 miles. It was a horrible run, but my present was being photobombed by one of my gym co-workers! Little things like that make my day and makes it all totally worth it.

What was a little thing that happened today that made you smile?
